We are creating happiness in children’s lives this holiday season as Sensei Dan, Chief Instructor of TheDOJO spearheads our 7th annual event… TheDOJO Toy Drive; once again partnering with Toys for Tots and the United States Marine Corp.

To donate please drop off new and unwrapped toys between the hours of 3-8pm Monday through Thursday, and Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm before December 15th at TheDOJO, our martial arts school located on 52 Park Avenue Rutherford, NJ.

Santa Visits TheDOJO in Rutherford NJ with Sensei Dan Rominski

This Saturday 9:30 am to 10:30 am attend your regular class time!

• Come Join a fun Karate class with Santa this Saturday only.
• Regular Kids class will still be on and adult class is on.  Attend your regular Saturday class time of Little Ninjas ages 4-6 years old from 9:30 am to 10 am, Big Kid class is 10 am to 10:30 am.  Adult Class is 10:30 am to 12 pm, sorry adults Santa will have left by then and you get a regular grueling workout with me.
• Santa will teach a short part of class and then kids can do the normal Santa thing...individually meet Santa, Picture on lap, tell him what they want for Christmas, Parents, feel free to dress up and get a family photo, all is free just bring your own camera.   
• This Saturday December 9th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am
• Kids can either wear a chute Christmas outfit for the picture or their regular Karate Uniform.
• The schedule is a little organic depending upon how many children attend, please plan accordingly.
• Everyone will still get Credit for Attending Class, although it will be a little different than normal.

Sweet Salute a Success!

Once again our Sweet Salute Project, TheDOJO Halloween Candy Drive for Veterans Day, was once again an epic success!

Thank you to everyone who participated and donated candy!

It was wonderful for the children to meet the Marines and spend time listening and learning from a couple of our nation's veterans.  These are the sort of interesting projects we spearhead at TheDOJO our epic martial art school located on 52 Park Avenue in Rutherford NJ 07070.

What a great thing for the children to hear last night the Marines talk about the heartfelt personal stories about the families receiving the generosity (form all of you) through Toys for Tots.

Sweet Salute! TheDOJO Candy Drive 2017 Candy Pick Up in Rutherford NJ - Martial Arts School

Every Year for almost a decade we do this cool thing where we collect everyone's donated Halloween Candy (about several hundred pounds), so parents and children get it out of the house and don't eat it all. We donate it to Operation Jersey Cares (www.operationjerseycares.org) represented by two Marines who visit TheDOJO each year and talk shop with the kids about Discipline (cleaning one's room), Respect for Authority (listening to parents), and Helping Others (service above self). This also kick starts TheDOJO Toy Drive for Toys for Tots where each year we raise hundreds of toys for children during the Holiday. We work with the United States Marine Corp as well with this project for also almost a decade. This is just the sort of interesting projects, ideas and action you'll typically see throughout the year at TheDOJO with Sensei Dan Rominski.
