TV Turnoff Week 2009

Alternative Activities for Children & Families
Put a checkmark next to what you did this week

o Attend Martial Arts Class at The DOJO.
o Volunteer in a school to teach reading, math, computer skills.
o Learn to play the guitar or other musical instrument.
o Attend community concerts.
o Organize a community clean-up.
o Put together a puzzle.
o Visit the library. Borrow a book. Attend library activities.
o Go ice skating or roller skating.
o Listen to the radio.
o Visit the zoo.
o Paint a picture, a mural or a room.
o Attend a high school sporting event.
o Find out about your area's community center or park's activities.

o Read a book aloud to your younger sister/brother.
o Plan a picnic or barbecue.

o Volunteer for a community organization or charity.
