TheDOJO's Rutherford Community Blood Drive

Rutherford, NJ, January 14, 2015  TheDOJO is proud to announce its 2015 Rutherford Community Blood Drive in partnership with New Jersey Blood Services, a division of New York Blood Center.  Please join us on Sunday, February 1st between 9am-3pm at TheDOJO, 52 Park Avenue, Rutherford, NJ.  To be eligible to donate, you must be in generally good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old or 16 years old with parental consent.

Leadership Team member and Black Belt, Mark Balaz, has been training at TheDOJO for over 20 years.  As part of his Project-Based Leadership Training at TheDOJO, he has spearheaded the Rutherford Community Blood Drive since 2008.  TheDOJO’s martial arts education is comprised of an Intelligent Curriculum specializing in taking our martial arts training out of TheDOJO and into the world - and this is but one example of how we achieve that.  Established in 1975, TheDOJO is celebrating its 40th year unleashing human potential.

Remember that every 2 seconds, someone needs blood.  If only 1% more of Americans donated, blood shortages would disappear.  Be part of the solution and show your support for this very worthy cause.  The donation itself requires a quick registration, medical history, donation and snack and takes about 60 minutes in all.  Walk-ins are welcome.  Please remember to have eaten and to be hydrated before arriving and you will need ID with you in order to donate.  For specific medical eligibility requirements and for more information, please call 1-800-933-2566 or visit www.nybloodcenter.org.

To learn more about TheDOJO’s martial arts program - lessons that last a lifetime - and for registration details, please contact Sensei Dan, 5th Degree Black Belt and Chief Instructor at 201-933-3050 or at SenseiDan@TheDOJO.org.  Or visit us at www.TheDOJO.org.

Janey welcomes with a smile those arriving to donate blood.
