"The End"...or is it?

Whether it be a classic movie such as the wizard of oz or a classic Shakespeare play, hamlet for instance, after our first viewing we know how it ends.  They follow a script.

"Scripting" is when we think we have a "script" for our life.   What we may not realize is that we can re-write the script, our script, at anytime.  Our final chapter has not yet been written.

As human beings we have self-awareness.  By being aware of ourselves we can see down what path our current choices and behaviors are taking us; and it might not be where we want to end up.  Sometimes we become aware that we are going in the right direction, a direction which is congruent with our vision, conscience and values.  Sometimes we become aware that we are going in a not so good direction; one that is incongruent with our vision, conscience and values.

So we re-write the script.  We change course.  We make different choices.  We assume different roles.  We set different standards.  We create a different vision.  We become self-aware and we exercise our freedom to choose.  Some of the greats in history started out on a not so good path only to change course and finish in a way that made a difference.  So can we.  We can re-write the ending to our script, our lives.

Or we can just say, "that's the way I am" and be happy with that.
