Rutherford’s TheDOJO awards black belts

Celebrating its 40th year unleashing human potential, TheDOJO of Rutherford recently hosted its Children and Adults Martial Arts Black Belt test in which two adults were awarded the coveted Black Belt and six children were awarded their Junior Black Belts. As part of their belt test training, students were taught an interactive curriculum of reality-based self-defense training. They mastered a variety of punching, blocking and kicking techniques in order to protect themselves and in order to strengthen both body and mind. They also learned practical, proven methods for avoiding conflict altogether, enhancing self-awareness and exercising anger management. TheDOJO’s martial arts education is comprised of an Intelligent Curriculum specializing in wellness of the whole person: body, mind and spirit. These young graduates are the next generation of leaders, and TheDOJO is very proud to applaud their efforts and accomplishments.

We teach punching, kicking, blocking, wrestling & every aspect of the arts of self-defense that we ourselves have studied. It’s good stuff & not only are we good at what we do, but every teacher our team is working to improve his or her skills, daily.
